Its not huge, but I'm on the right track.

Was playing this guy earlier who was totally maniac and obviously not aware of his own image. He was checkraising like 30% of flops and this hand came.

I first thought of calling, and when i think of it I think calling would be best.  Still not sure.. It's many many ugly turn cards but No matter what comes I will have to get it in vs this guy. So I missplayed it.

Update.. Up 700 for the month $1200 below EV..


This runbad has been much tougher psychologically wise than i expected.Last week it was really hard sitting down at the tables not having the usual good feeling. I think I previously have never ran more than like a couple of buy ins below EV at the end of a month, so I guess I've never experienced really bad variance before. Last week I had the feeling of not being able to win. This feeling is something that destroyed my game.

I went through Last weeks hands and noticed stuff I usually never would've done if i'd been winning.

I've also gone through a BUNCH of pots that was above $50 at 50nl and $100 at 100nl.
I can with confidence say I've been running really really really terrible this month. Not just in pots where I've been ahead when we get the money in, but in spots where I'm "forced" to put the money in vs an opponents range of hands, where I unfortunately have met the top of their range over and over and over again.

After going through my hands I've noticed I call too light on the river. This is an expensive leak that I'm going to work on the next few days. However this is not the reason I haven't been winning.

Last week when i played, I ran bad for three straight days. Every day on every bad beat, I told myself that it's just variance. I constantly Focus on keepin' focused!. :p
    I decided to take a couple of days off to cool down. The first day i came back I instantly got Kings vs Aces the first hand at 100nl.. I thought "what ever I'll win it back".
 A couple of hands later I 3bet tens and he calls. Flop is 822, i cbet and he goes all in. He has A8 and gets there on the river. I *smashed* my mouse and threw it at the wall. [ ] felt better afterwards.

         Turned off my computer and went out with some friends and got hammered.

Past couple of days I've been winning. This guy called sp4rk at stars had previously been hit and running me THREE times in one day earlier where i ran 250usd below EV..  This guy came back two days ago and I crushed that piece of shit. Took all the money he'd won earlier and then some. After that guy I got some confidence back and i've been winning when ahead. So I'm up like 850 the past three days. Hopefully this can continue.

Run bad continues

well.. I'm still running terribad.. I keep crashing into the top of peoples ranges everytime i'm all in. As well as now being 800 under EV this month.. 300 under EV today. bllllllllllllllurg and more whine.

$80 down today. New day tomorrow. But this run bad really starts to piss me off now. Up like 400 for the month.

An update before i update

Today I'll be sitting at my computer for the next like 12 hours. So I'm going to have the best game-selection day to date. Today I will ONLY be playing people who are so bad that I'm actually getting mad at them for being so brain dead and stupid. I know I'm playing the correct people when i get mad for winning a $200 pot. So let's hope i get mad for winning and not losing today.

Hopefully I will run above EV today. I got some catching up to do there.

Up $250 today.. Like 500 for the month..600 below EV. Still running really bad but w/e.
. I've played 9875 hands so far and I really need to get up the pace the next days if imma be reachin' them 40.000 hands.

Btw i cashed in all events last saturday EXCEPT the sunday mill ( sorry mark and Simon ). I will try get in 15k hands the next 7 days. I will make it.

up $250 today.. Last player stacked me with JTs all in vs my AQ. Decided to quit after that.

Manchester united is playing Manchester City in 40 minutes going to watch that and then it's going to be turnaments all evening. Here is the schedule for tonight.

Day 3

Didn't get more than 2k hands in today and I'm going out, which means big hangover tomorrowz and probably no poker.

Today began horrible by getting it in with 99vs9T on 9T2 board, he got there. And Then set vs Flushdraw and he got there again and then JJ vs AA and i didn't get there. BUT i shouted to the neighbours dog straight after to release some rage and that gave me lot's of power and i played a billion shortstacks and stacked em all!

Up $350 for the day.

day 2

As always the month begins with a breakeven stretch... Today has been completely awful and I'm running like 500dollars below EV this month. But what ever still 26 days to go. I'm currently down 98bucks for the month.

I met this HUuuge HUUUUge donkey whom i lost $250 to. He was up 450 at one point. Just completely standard coolers where i could do nothing especially considering his play. He was 3betting 51% and potting everyflop, folding to 9% of my cbets and didn't fold once to a checkraise. WHich indeed ment I got to a 250bb stack vs him like 4 times but always got coolered down again.. He left when i called him down with like third pair for a 140dollar pot. Which was annoying, he was like a tikking bomb.

I've gone through todays big hands and i really haven't done much spazzy except two times where I've bluffed of a stack on the river when my draws have busted. With the Pokerstars bonuses I'm probably break even so far the past two days. However I know I'm going to win as long as i keep pushing the volume. Been playing around 6500 hands in two days so. If I'm still breakeven in 10 days, then I gotta find out what the fuck is going on.

Looking forward for the next sunday.. Thinking about degen some money away on some turneys.. Playing the sunday Million and all the small $11 and prob another $100 one.

Also still looking for a new site to play at.. I began playing at NoiQ, but didn't get any sign up bonus so decided to fuck off from there and look for a new one.. Think I will land on Expect perhaps. getting 40% rakeback there so it's decent. I like the software there as well.

Other than that i was down at the store earlier today to buy some chicken and whatever. I've lost my credit card last weekend so I had to try out the entropay card. It obviously didn't work in the grocery store even tho it said on their website it's supposed to! Fucking embarrassing  standing there with a billion groceries and the card won't fucking work. (good job entropay).
 I was like"It's a new card" and the bitch behind the counter just smirked "mmM-HM ;)"
 Had to run to the bank which is a whole 15 min away and back again to be able to pay for the stuff. Atleast i got some exercise of it. Woop woop!

Time for some cardrunner movies before I go to bed. Still looking for a coach on cardrunners to like (not ghey wise). But that can explain what the fuck they do properly. Some coaches just over think everything and discuss ONE hand for 20 minutes when they replay it.  And it's usually in decisions thats SO fucking marginal, that their super-over-analyzing thoughts don't really matter when you play a completely brain dead vodka drinking fish from Russia.

Anyways. NEW day tomorrow, new bad players to pwn and hopefully i'll get in 4k hands tomorrow as well. It's friday but i've told my friends that I'm NOT drinking tomorrow. Gotta work and earn some cashmoneybishes.

Got 3k hands in today.. The result was worse than they should've been. I basicly didn't take a real break all day and did many mistakes at the end. Ah well. It's a New day to morrow.

Introduction blogg

Okey so this is my first blogg. I've been planning to make a blogg for a while but I always  end up playing poker instead. But now I've sat out from the tables and I AM going to write this thing! Its going to be easier for Mark and Simon to keep up with my progression and all with me having this blogg. I'm also writing it for my own sake to keep sure my mind is focused on the correct things.
So first of all I'm going to write what I've achieved last month.

July
 We began playing later than planned because of all the things that just happened to Fulltiltpoker which meant i had like 4000$ ish locked down at UltimateBET and Fulltilt. So it took a few days until I could get back to playing again. I THINK i began playing the 5th of july. I had a really bad start running 10 buy-ins below EV at one point and down like $600.. So when i went to Germany the 8th I was stuck some money, which wasn't the best of feelings but whatever.  This is when i got to reflect on a lot of things while chillin' on da cruuuise ship sipping them pina-coladas or what ever its called . I thought a lot about it and understood my whole mindset had been completely wrong for the past two months. After a normal day of playing I usually just looked up my Hold'emManager graph to check how much i had been losing or winning. Then if I had been losing I'd be blaming it on bad luck or what ever, but feel like a champion if winning. What I really should have been doing is going over all the biggest winning and losing HANDS of the day and check how i played those. Preferably all pots above 50big blinds.  I should've not at all care about the results in terms money.
 While i was on vacation i had my Iphone with me with all of phil galfonds HeadsUp videos and 11 videos from cardrunners. When i got back the 14th I'd been watching like 20 hours of Heads-up poker and felt confident that I was going to learn and improve a lot in July.
Lucky for me I won around $400 the first day after i came back. This was indeed a great confident booster. But my whole mindset was also completely different now, I was thinking at a different level than before i left for Germany. The autopilot and the mindset that I was MEANT to win was gone.
I ended from being - $600 to being up like $2500 until i had a little down period the last day ending with around $2400 in profits. Even tho the $2400 really doesn't feel like much at all after 16days of playing I had greatly improved as a player which is worth sooo much more than the money I made. Feeling the power of becoming a better player is truly awesome. (It's a long time since I've worked this hard on my game).
So all in all I am really happy with July and I am truly looking forward to become even better in August.
Things I improved a lot on in July:

• Table selecting. I've greatly improved on only playing the correct player type I feel confident on playing.
• My mindset, It's completely changed and I am much more calm and confident when i play.
• Putting people on correct ranges. I wasn't really thinking much of ranges when i began. I now constantly think about it which makes makes it easier to play.
  
  August

My goals for August is going to be big. My motivation for this month is great so then my goals should be as well. My plan is to play as close to 40k hands as possible. Yes I am srsly serious. In one day I've managed to get in 5k hands and so I should be able to reach 40k with 20-22 days of playing so hopefully I wont be interrupted by any social occasions and not go out drinking more than once a week. I hope I get to play a lot and constantly try to learn. I will continue with reviewing hands after each day of playing. As  well as recording videos. I will hopefully come out with 2 videos this month. I made two videos last month but only uploaded one. This month I will have one live-recorded videos and one where I review between six and ten hands and explain my thought process.

I read this great great thread from the 2+2 forum. You might have read it. It's a guy that's been crushing 3/6 to 5/10 back in 2008-2011. He said that for those who knew the basic and the common poker strategies it was all in their mindset whether they won or not. THINK while you play and focus on the right things and you will become a winning player. Fair enough he was only playing 6-max but I think being in the right state, having the right focus will make you much more money than if you were "auto-piloting".  I'm sure I could autopilot and still be a winning player but it's not motivating and for obvious reasons isn't making you the most money.

Now I hope I haven't jinxed myself with all this positiveness. Each month has begun with me going breakeven after 5-10k hands. Lets see if can change this and be winning the first 5-10k hands!
